Barrel Race Ends April 19th, 2012

The 2011 - 2012 Barrel Racing season will end April 19th, 2012. A big thank you to all of our barrel racing participates this past season. Please check our website and calendar this fall for the start date and time of our 2012 - 2013 Barrel Racing season.

Sorting Practice Season ends after April 28th, 2012

Para Hevea will end the 2011 - 2012 Sorting practice season after the April 28th, 2012 practice at 9:30 am.

Para Hevea would like to thank all of our Sorting enthusiasts that joined and supported us this past season and we look forward to seeing all of you next fall! Please check our website and calendar for the start date and time for our 2012 - 2013 Sorting Practice Season.

Para Hevea is now requiring sign-up or Call in for Sorting and/or Team Penning each week. This does not obligate you to make it to the practices, but we do ask that if you are not positive or do not intend on coming please do not sign up or call in. To sign up just click on "sign up" below or call 503-651-3528 before midnight Thursday of each week. The signing up process will help us to provide a better and more cost efficient experience for you.

Attention Day Riding Customers - Day Riding Policy

You must register to pleasure ride at Para Hevea's arena. Registering can be done by e-mailing your (Full Name, Trailer Plate Number & Phone Number) or calling 503-651-3528. Information required to register is a trailer license number, phone number, and name. If you do not register you cannot pleasure ride at Para Hevea.

Introduction to Cow/Horse Clinic

Para Hevea will conduct a clinic for riders and horses that have little or no experience working cattle in January 21st, 2012 at approximately 10:30am. Inexperienced riders will get a chance to slowly introduce their horses to cattle. The clinic may touch on some actual team penning/Sorting techniques depending on the overall experience of the riders and horses attending the clinic. The clinic will generally be conducted for a time period of approximately 1 to 2 hours. The cost of the clinic is $12 per horse and will be limited to the first 20 riders to sign up after date is announced. Riders will need to go to our main page and click on the "Clinic Sign Up" button when it is posted. The first 20 riders (individual names) signed up will receive a confirmation email (via the email address given at the time of sign up). Confirmed clinic riders need to bring the confirmation number with them at the beginning of clinic. Riders that sign up and don't make the limit will have first chance at the next Clinic, so don't feel left out if you don't make the cutoff limit. Riders should be prepared to start at 10:30am although the clinic could start a little later due to Sorting practice taking more time to finish.


* Schedule Changes can occur which may cause the clinic to be cancelled or re-scheduled. Please check our schedule before traveling to Para Hevea.   (Top of page)

 

Oregon/Washington High School Equestrian Teams

Para Hevea welcomes all high school equestrian teams to practice team penning with us during Saturday practice sections starting the first Saturday of December, 2011. Para Hevea provides special reduced rates to high school equestrian teams (Minimum of 3 members from each equestrian team) during practice session.
High school teams are welcome to schedule an open block of time to practice high school equestrian events. Equestrian teams wishing to reserve arena use during open schedule times should contact Para Hevea a week in advance in order to secure open schedule time.
* State OHSET and WHSET rules may apply to formal team practices before a certain date.
